About us

Founded in 1984, this non-profit organisation is made up of lovers of historic vehicles. Our aim is to bring together people who, like you, love beautiful old mechanical vehicles, both to restore them and to drive them, and to pass on our passion.

Our club is made up of enthusiasts who help each other to find the right vehicles, the right parts and the right places to visit, and the wrong places to avoid. We pool our experience so that everyone can benefit from each other’s when researching, restoring, registering and using our historic vehicles.

The Rétromobile Club de Spa is a founder member of the BEHVA – BElgian Historic Vehicle Association (formerly FBVA). It is also one of the few clubs to be a direct member of FIVA – Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens.

To be a member of our club, you don’t have to own a historic vehicle, but you do have to like them. We accept historic vehicles, known as oldtimers, that are over 30 years old, as well as youngtimers aged between 20 and 29. These two categories are recognised by the FIVA & BEHVA. However, we would like to draw your attention to the fact that customised vehicles or modern bodywork based on old chassis or electric or retrofit vehicles are not admitted.
